I know how you/they feel, because I myself have it. I wish I could open a website for this but I'm afraid I'm too young. Only 14. I had this disease from age 12 and still has it. Luckily, it is begging to disappear. It hasn't healed YET but it gets better each day.
As you/they know, this disease has no cure, but to me there is one. God. He is my Savior and the one who had protected me throughout my whole life.
In God there is happiness, and happiness is the cure. The causes of SLE are joint pains, skin rashes and many other things. You lose some of your abilities at times. Trust me, I've been through that.
People might make fun of your appearance(because of the skin rash). People who look at you might be discussed, even your friends make fun of you. I say these things because I've been through them, and I know you/they have too.
I just want to let you all know that if you have problems, contact me or mail me and I'll be sure sure sure sure sure sure SURE to answer. I have been through allot and I don't want you/them to feel this way too.
I want you/them to have hope for a cure. The Lord helped me and I am here typing this message healthy and strong because my strength comes from God. Sure there are times it gets really worse till I can't walk or have breathing, seeing, hearing and many other disadvantages, but hey, when I thank God for all these pain, it all goes away so FAST!
I beg you to give it a try. With SLE, you are unable to eat allot of things. Sometimes, I question God "Why do you have to put this one me? WHY ME?"
I have to tell you the truth, I REGRET those words. I REGRET every second I had that thought in my mind. The Lord at least protected me, died for me, cleansed me, when I myself didn't even diserve it. He loved me more than anyone else could of. He love all of us.
He love me so much to give me so great friends from school,community, and from DeviantArt.
So please, if you have or know anyone with SLE, I can help you. The Lord can help you.
He with never abandon you, just like how he never abandoned me. I'm telling the truth cause hey, I'm still alive and running around like maniac right?
